Spend some virtual fun with SAIGE members and leaders, give back to our communities, and support Queer & Trans advocacy, counseling, and mental health awareness!! Anyone from the public can attend, including American Counseling Association (ACA) members and friends! The race is virtual again this year, we hope you join us and share you pics using #2022RainbowRun.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Atlanta Georgia's Positive Impact Health Centers (PIHC). PIHC provides client-centered HIV care and works tirelessly to stop HIV transmission in Atlanta. The organization serves over 10,000 individuals every year through 4 locations in Metro Atlanta - Chamblee, Decatur, Duluth and Marietta. The agency provides HIV comprehensive specialty care through clinical care, gender affirming care, mental health counseling, addiction treatment, support programs in medical case management, patient navigators, transportation and housing, and through prevention, testing, PrEP and PEP.
Funding and donations from our event will be directed towards mental health counseling and the gender inclusion program at PIHC. This agency understands gender is not restricted to binary roles of male and female. They know aligning identity with your gender is important to your health. Every program, including mental health counseling, is gender inclusive. The agency also provides gender-affirming hormone therapy is a medical intervention for people of trans experience or gender non-conforming individuals. This year, PIHC opened a Trans Life Care Drop-In Center for individuals of trans experience to get to know the staff and services at PIHC.

All finishers of the virtual 5k also receive awesome medals made by Ashworth Awards (the same company who makes medals for the Boston Marathon!) All medal and t-shits will be mailed to participants after the conclusion of the race event (June 30, 2022). See previous year's medals below!

Our Annual Rainbow Run 5K & 1-Mile Walk for Wellness & Equality
Our annual Rainbow Run is a race for members and nonmembers that takes place on the Sunday of the American Counseling Association national conference in the conference host city. A portion of the proceeds are donated to a local organization that serves LGBTGEQIAP+ people within that region.
